OUR HISTORY
At the beginning of March, we celebrate our 30th company anniversary together with our employees and their families. Almost at the same time, two "new additions" start work in mid-June: A MURATEC MW120 with integrated loading system automates our production of inserts, and an NLX 2500-700 from DMG MORI enables us to machine diameters of up to 80 millimetres from bar stock.
In spring, we move into our completed, expanded business premises and reorganize large parts of our internal flow of goods. An optical shaft measuring device from ZEISS complements our measurement technology and supports our production-related quality assurance.
With our first CINCOM L20-X, we are expanding our technological capabilities to include significantly more complex turned parts. In conjunction with this, we are implementing an ESPRIT CAM system and taking our machine programming to a new level. In the summer, we start the second construction phase of our expanded warehouse with office wing.
A piece of company history is coming to an end: with the last setter for conventional automatic lathes, we are also saying goodbye to our last cam-controlled machines for good.
On March 3, 2018, we will be celebrating our 25th company anniversary in a festive setting. We would like to sincerely say ThANK YOU to all our customers, employees, suppliers and many other companions who have stood by our side and accompanied us over the past quarter of a century!!! Our company building is also getting a new coat of paint after 17 years. At the end of the year, another CINCOM A-20-VII with an enlarged main spindle clearance of 25 millimeters goes into operation. At the same time, a CINCOM B12-VI goes into operation. This machine will tend to produce simple turned parts and will replace our cam machines in the future.
At the beginning of the year, we install an OPTIV Classic 3D multisensor measuring machine from HEXAGON and a larger disc finishing machine for post-processing our parts. A fifth CINCOM A20-VII goes into production in October. This machine has an enlarged main spindle opening of 25 millimetres and therefore extended production options.
On July 1, the ground-breaking ceremony for the first construction phase of our new warehouse will take place. Once completed, we will have urgently needed additional space for raw materials and finished parts.
At the beginning of the year, our new ERP system starts up smoothly thanks to intensive preparation. Another CINCOM L12-VII goes into production. Production preparation and programming now largely take place outside of the production process.
A fourth CINCOM A20-VII goes into production. With the first CINCOM L12-VII, we are expanding our ability to manufacture smaller diameter ranges economically. A PERO S1A solvent cleaning system ensures maximum cleanliness of the manufactured parts. The entire building is converted to energy-efficient LED lighting.
The third CINCOM A20-VII sliding headstock automatic lathe and the first CINCOM A32-VII are installed. The company currently employs 30 people.
Investment in a second CINCOM A20-VII sliding headstock automatic lathe
.Investment in a CINCOM A20-VII sliding headstock automatic lathe and an EMCO E45 CNC chuck lathe.
The first CINCOM K16-VI sliding headstock automatic lathe goes into production
.On March 01, 2008, we celebrate our 15th company anniversary. In May 2008, Ingo Gläser takes over the sole management of the company. The company founder Reiner Gläser remains active in the company in an advisory capacity.
Foundation of Gläser Automatendreherei GmbH on January 1, 2007
.Investment in a measuring projector and other precision measuring equipment. Expansion of the production area by a further 320m². After completion, a state-of-the-art TRAUB TNK36 automatic lathe goes into operation. We now employ 25 people.
We are exhibiting at the "Z" supplier trade fair in Leipzig for the first time.
An IT network replaces our stand-alone computers. We set up an EMCO ET365 CNC chuck turning machine for a new range of parts. Another A26 CNC is added.
Investment in a modern EMCO ET332 CNC turning center
.We invest in the first small EMCO ET-325 CNC chucking machine. With 14 employees, we move into our new production facility in the Olbernhau industrial estate in mid-November after a construction period of just four months. We celebrate our inauguration on December 8th.
The first A26 CNC automatic lathe is put into operation. Reiner Gläser and his son Ingo, who has been with the company since 1996, found Automatendreherei Gläser & Gläser GbR on June 20, 2000 and prepare a new building in the Olbernhau industrial estate.
The number of employees increases to 12. The location does not allow for further growth.
An additional automatic lathe and machines for post-processing are added.
Creation of 30 square meters of additional production space. The number of employees has grown to 11.
The company now employs 6 people.
Construction of a mechanical production facility for the further processing of turned parts
.Purchase of a further 3 automatic lathes and installation of an assembly workstation.
On March 1, the mechanical engineer Reiner Gläser founds the Reiner Gläser automatic turning shop in a former timber company and starts manufacturing parts for door and window fittings with a TRAUB A25 automatic lathe.
